Perhaps columnist Steve Nicklas has seen the light. At least that was the only reason that we could think of when we read his recent column, titled “Reasons to hope for the future,” that ran in the Fernandina Beach News-Leader on Friday, Nov. 25. After spending many months in his column railing against economic development and jobs locally and denigrating the mission of Citizens for a Better Nassau County, now Nicklas talks about the benefit of new, high-paying jobs that deliver benefits to everyone and every place, which is something that we’ve supported since our inception.
